Privacy Policy
Last updated August 19, 2026
This is a short policy because Z-TempMail doesn't collect much. We'd rather tell you plainly what happens to your data than bury it in boilerplate.
There's no account, so there's no account data
You don't sign up, so we never have your name, a password, or a payment method. The only thing tied to your session is the temporary address you're given or choose.
Email content
Messages delivered to a Z-TempMail address — sender, subject, body, and timestamp — are stored so they can be shown to whoever holds that address. That's the entire point of the service, and it's also the reason these inboxes aren't private: anyone who knows or guesses an address can read what's in it. Treat it accordingly.
What stays on your device
Your active address and a cache of your recent messages are kept in your browser's local storage so refreshing the page doesn't lose your inbox. That data lives on your device — it's not something we collect separately.
Infrastructure
Mail is routed and stored through a small set of third-party infrastructure and mail providers that process data on our behalf to keep the service running. We don't sell or share message content with anyone else.
Cookies and the ads that keep this free
This site runs ads through a third-party ad network to stay free to use. That network sets its own cookies and uses a service worker to deliver in-page notifications — we don't control what it does with that data beyond what its own policy covers. We use a small consent banner so you know this is happening; declining it dismisses the banner but doesn't retroactively block cookies already set by the ad network.
How long things stick around
Messages aren't kept indefinitely. Inboxes are meant to be temporary, and we clean up old data periodically — don't rely on this as long-term storage for anything.
Not for children
Z-TempMail isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.
If this changes
If we update this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after that means you're fine with the update.
